Dealing with the post-Christmas blues – February 2018 Newsletter

Happy New Year! We trust that you have had a restful & restorative holiday season and that the New Year has brought new prospects & positivity for the year ahead. Australia Day often marks the end of these long summer holidays when family and friends gather to share time together. However the New Year may also herald the potential for increased loneliness and depression – a “post-Christmas low/blues” may set in together with a sense of increased isolation. Many individuals will turn to “Anti-depressants” to support through this time, however scientific evidence now confirms that depression isn’t caused by a chemical imbalance, and it is not known how Prozac works, or even if anti-depressants, such as Prozac are an effective treatment for the majority of people with depression. Article 2 from The New Scientist expands on this & also explores the possibility of how Homeopathy may support during this time of emotional mood swings, depression & “SAD” (Seasonal affective disorder), presenting her in Australia as much as in the darker, cooler, darker climes of Europe.

The Just One Drop Documentary continues to be screened at numerous locations worldwide, raising awareness of our unique form of medicine answering some questions and raising others yet to be answered. See article 1 for summary of screenings to date.

I was interviewed briefly on Channel 7 News in early December. For those of you who missed it you can watch it here.
